Poem of Ecstasy

Scriabin's unachieved ambition was to compose a multimedia 'synthesis of all arts.' His celebrated, lush Poem of Ecstasy must reveal something of what that work might have been. Benjamin Nabarro (violin) 'an outstanding artist' and Gemma Rosefield ('cello) 'a phenominal talent' feature in rhapsodic, lyrical works by Delius and Saint-Saëns and the concert opens with an evocative overture.
